Getting there
Fly into San José or Liberia, then a short hop to Cobano on a very small plane.
- From San José: Green Airways or Sansa, several flights a day, about 35 minutes.
- From Liberia: Sansa nonstops at 9:20 am, 4:15 pm, and 4:50 pm, about 20 minutes, from about $99.
- Coming from New Year's in Playa? Cancún to San José nonstop, then the hop.
- Book a hop that leaves at least 2.5 hours after your flight lands. The FAQ has the fine print.

Fly into Liberia, then about 4 hours by car or van.
- Flights from MKE and ORD land around 12:30 to 1 pm, so you'll arrive around sunset (5:30) or a bit after. Take it easy, or spend a night in Liberia.
- Share a van or split a rental with whoever lands around the same time.
- Take the Paquera route, never the Coyote route your map app suggests (river crossings).

FAQ
What does my payment cover?
Your share of a room at the villa. Food, flights, and activities are separate; we'll sort those out as we go.
What if I can't come after paying?
We'll refund you if someone takes your spot. Rooms go in payment order, so don't sit on it.
Can I pay with Apple Cash instead?
Sure. Text David your total from the RSVP form and send it with Apple Cash.
Do I need a car?
Nope. We'll have a Suzuki Jimny (5-door) for the week, town is walkable, and day ATV rentals exist if you get restless.
Anything to know about the small-plane hop?
It's a separate ticket, so book one that leaves at least 2.5 hours after your flight lands; the last one is around 5 pm. You and your bags get weighed, so pack light. Buy it directly from Green Airways or Sansa.
What time is it there?
Costa Rica stays on Central Standard Time all year (no daylight saving), so in January it's the same time as Milwaukee and Chicago. Flight times are local: departures in your city's time, arrivals in Costa Rica time.
When should I fly home?
Checkout is 11 am. From Liberia, book a flight after about 1 pm. Took the hop? Fly back to San José in the morning, then home after about 1 pm.
Will my phone work?
Check your carrier's international plan, or get an eSIM. The villa has fast wifi, and David's bringing a Starlink Mini.
What should I pack?
Swimsuits (plural), reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, sandals, bug spray, a light layer, and any meds. Taking the hop? Pack light: you get weighed.
